MTU Maintenance Berlin-Brandenburg
MTU Maintenance Berlin-Brandenburg GmbH
Situated just south of Berlin in Ludwigsfelde, the facility is the third largest location in the MTU Maintenance network and focuses on maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aero engines, turboprop and helicopter engines, as well as aero-derivative industrial gas turbines.
The location offers MRO and on-site services for Pratt & Whitney Canada’s PT6A, PW200, PW300 and PW500 engine models, as well as for the PW800’s low-pressure turbine module. GE’s CF34-8 and -10E and CFMI’s CFM56-7B engines complete the aero engine portfolio, while GE’s LM2500TM, LM5000* and LM6000TM make up the portfolio for the industrial gas turbine section of MTU’s services.
The site in Ludwigsfelde is also home to MTU’s European center for ON-SITEPlus services, a dedicated crew that performs on-site and near-wing maintenance as well as hospital shop visits at a 1,200 square meters workshop. In addition, the location has the only production test cell to perform development and acceptance tests on the TP400-D6 engine, which powers the Airbus A400M military transporter.
